Today vivziepop answered why hazbin hotel hasn’t been advertised or marketed much. In her tweet she says, “I can’t say as much as I’d like about Hazbin. I wish I could- But trust me when I say the second I can, I will be promoting the heck out of it. I want you guys to see things as much as you do! It’s been painful to sit on so much. Just hang tight, I promise it’ll be worth it.”
Her second reply says, “I’m just really glad for now I’m able to bring you lots of Helluva Boss in the meantime!! 💕🙌”.
So basically from what viv has said, she’s most likely under a non disclosure agreement so she can’t discuss hazbin hotel much or it’s marketing. Advertisements are probably handled by another team or company, which is why the advertising has been so poor. This tweet was likely made because of rising concerns from fans because of the lack of a proper release date, trailer or streaming platform for the show. ngl at this point i like the characters and plot so much more from helluva boss than i do hazbin hotel that id personally be fine if hazbin hotel never comes out. it dosent help that i find most of the hazbin hotel characters to be incredibly annoying and frustrating to watch rip sorry
I feel part of it is because the marketing team feels they don't need to do anything, Hazbin's fanbase would die for the show despite only seeing one pilot, and they know they can take advantage of that. Like yes, they've made you wait years, no, you don't get a release date, no, you don't get marketing, you get 2 second long soundless clips on Twitter. Why? Because you'll eat up the show when it's out anyway.
NDA's can be a pain. But as soon as the agreement let's her talk then she will.
I trust A24 they made a lot of good films. Plus, I know I'll be watching it. I think Hulu is the best place the only negative thing it own by Disney, and I feel like they take control of creativity, in my opinion. NETFLIX would be good too but I feel like Hazbin hotel should drop an episode every week because study show release by weekly keep suspense and excitement. I think Prime is the best because A24 uses them to stream there stuff anyway they good hit shows like The Boys and Invincible plus alot of subs

I'm starting to think they might push the release back to fall. Viv and the team said it was coming summer, but its already past the Fourth of July. I Hope they can get it out as soon as possible, because I don't see many fans being pleased by another push back. Lets also hope that A24 can actually start putting out some ads as well.
This is so sad bc so many fans are just leaving Hazbin bc lack of updates and stuff. How can fans get hyped for a show when A24 takes an L when it comes to marketing. But like at the same time, when merch drop videos are made, we get new Hazbin merch, it’s really odd to me.
Its kind of scary, it said to come out this summer, but the summer is half way done already.
I have a feeling the show might just fail because this “marketing”. With the time we’ve waited and the poor marketing I’m completely bored with hazbin. I care much more about helluva because it actually has good marketing, and doesn’t take years to come out. 😭😭

There are non-disclosure agreements… and say-a-peep-and-we'll-blow-your-head-off hostage situations. Viv seems to be somewhere in between. I've heard from many people who were (and one is) but were able to publish details while being quite vague. It's all about choosing words carefully with the right context. This past few years makes me think the studio has a hired agent waiting around every spot Viv goes to, ready to pounce or make that cut-throat gesture if she so much as mentions cartoons or work. >_>
Tongue-in-cheek, yes, but nonetheless A24 is being a humongous DICK about all of this. The ads might be grand OR (likely) I've seen promos finally revealed to be totally underwhelming.

I think it's cutting it to close to release despite of weather Viv or a24 is in charge of it. They're drawing it out way too long. They know the fan base. Honestly I don’t really even care about Hazbin anymore. My hype can only survive so long. Don’t get me wrong, I like Helluva boss. But at this point I can take or leave Hazbin. They’ve waited too long.

My guess has to do with the fact that WHERE it's being released hasn't been announced. Maybe they can't promote it because they don't have a deal with anyone to stream or release it

Honestly, the people complaining about Hazbin's lack of marketing are promoting the show itself. Anyway, I think the fact that ppl are asking about the marketing is a vote of confidence that people already know about the show and are excitedly waiting for its release.

Honestly, A24 is going to need something to promote Hazbin hotel to make the marketing which they are lacking since Viviziepop really can't reveal any big information on the show except small gifs because it's against the company's rules of an agreement so how will they able to do that?
