In today’s digital age, video marketing has become an essential tool for businesses looking to promote their products or services. With the rise of social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram, video has become a popular and effective way to reach and engage with audiences.
One crucial aspect of video marketing is the opening of the video. The first few seconds of a video are crucial for capturing the viewer’s attention and convincing them to continue watching. In this article, we will discuss what to say at the start of your video to ensure that you make a strong first impression.
1. Introduce Yourself: One of the first things you should do in your video is to introduce yourself. Let the viewers know who you are and what your expertise is. This will help establish credibility and build trust with your audience.
2. Clearly State the Purpose of the Video: Make sure to clearly explain what the video is about and what the viewers can expect to learn or gain from watching it. This will help set the expectations and keep the viewers engaged.
3. Hook the Viewers: Grab the viewers’ attention by starting with a compelling statement or question. This will help pique their curiosity and entice them to keep watching. Consider using a shocking statistic, a thought-provoking quote, or a powerful image to hook the viewers from the start.
4. Make it Personal: Connect with your viewers by sharing a personal story or experience related to the topic of the video. This will help create a sense of relatability and empathy with the viewers, making them more invested in what you have to say.
5. Call to Action: End the opening of the video with a clear call to action. Let the viewers know what you want them to do next, whether it’s subscribing to your channel, visiting your website, or sharing the video with their friends. This will help drive engagement and encourage the viewers to take action.
Overall, the opening of your video is a critical element in your video marketing strategy. By following these tips and techniques, you can create a strong and engaging opening that captivates your audience and sets the tone for the rest of the video. Remember, you only have a few seconds to make a lasting impression, so make them count!

hmmm, firstly, it's our brand and our channel AND finally we don't need to explain.
You definitely deserve more subscribers!
fair enough, this might help, just copy and paste this link into your browser and connect up with this guy https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzs6w-BYVb0gmcldXt6by-A
This helped a tiny bit but not really. I have a gaming channel and my videos are about playing games, not talking about something, so step 3 is completely useless to me.
I won't be able to use step 2 since I don't have a website but if using a website to say where you're from is just an example then I don't know what to do for step 2 cause it would be weird if I said "It's dilan (or (channel name)) here from scotland", it just doesn't sound good at all.
Any tips for what to say at the start of my gaming videos.
thank u so much
Thank you. It helped me
