Intel’s Snake Oil & Completely Insane Anti-AMD Marketing
It’s no secret that the rivalry between Intel and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) in the semiconductor industry has been fierce for decades. Both companies are constantly vying for market share and striving to innovate and outperform each other in the ever-evolving world of computer technology.
Recently, however, Intel’s marketing tactics have taken a bizarre and troubling turn. The company has been accused of using what can only be described as “snake oil” and completely insane tactics to disparage and undermine its competitor, AMD.
One of the most egregious examples of Intel’s unscrupulous marketing tactics was a video advertisement released by the company in which it claimed that its processors were superior to AMD’s due to their “uncompromising performance.” The ad featured a man wielding a flamethrower and a chainsaw, while proclaiming that Intel’s products were the only ones that could deliver the power and performance needed for today’s demanding computing tasks.
Intel’s use of fear-mongering and hyperbolic language in its marketing campaigns not only lacks credibility but also raises questions about the company’s integrity and professionalism. The company’s decision to resort to such outlandish and baseless claims reflects poorly on its commitment to fair competition and consumer transparency.
AMD, for its part, has responded to Intel’s antics with a level-headed and measured approach. The company has emphasized the value of healthy competition and the importance of focusing on the technical merits of its products rather than engaging in sensationalistic marketing ploys.
In an industry as fast-paced and competitive as the semiconductor market, it’s crucial for companies to differentiate themselves through innovation, quality, and genuine value for customers. Resorting to deceptive and inflammatory marketing tactics not only damages the reputation of the offending company but also undermines the overall trust and credibility of the industry as a whole.
It’s important for consumers to be aware of the tactics that companies like Intel are using in their marketing efforts. Instead of falling for flashy and bombastic claims, it’s essential to research and compare the technical specifications and real-world performance of different products before making a purchasing decision.
Ultimately, it’s up to the consumers to demand integrity and transparency from the companies they support. By holding Intel and other companies accountable for their marketing practices, we can help ensure a more honest and ethical marketplace for all.

1:51 average intel fanboys out on the town
I applaud Intel for not claiming that using AMD products will inevitably leads to madness, addiction and disgrace.
Sounds like Intel has started dabbling in what's commonly known as 'Trump marketing.'
I feel like people are way more surprised at this than they should be. Intel has been doing this for YEARS, this is just who they are as a company.
Most cringe tech video I've ever seen
I think they are taking about zen4 and ryzen 7000 series when they said "latest"
Intel has struggled to keep employees for many years. One of the biggest problems I hear about frequently at the Hillsboro fab plant, HARD DRUG USE ON CAMPUS by employees
9:04 – they got content creation at the i3 level, and Esports at the i9 level. Huh… I don't think I'm even reading this chart right. It seems to be saying three different things. I'm not sure they know what they are trying to say either. This is a product of marketing dept meeting with usage demographics statistics dept, both made up of 20 year olds with blue hair sitting on bean bags outside on yoga mats. With no adult oversights. This is why everything tech related is turning to garbage these days. The adults have retired.
This was the ideal way to begin my workday. chuckling a lot at the expense of a corporation worth billions of dollars
This is hilariously bad, like a crazy scorned ex sending texts bad. The only thing I learned from the presentation is that celerons are for babies.
"Hey Google, define symantec satiation" – you sold me right there lol
We don't need electronics manufacturers using politician tactics smh
Intel know they are finished. Nobody will buy their CPUs for 3-5 years because they are ALL OLD AND OUTDATED TECH. They probably created these "new cpus" years before but tweaked and worked on a schedule to "compete" with AMD now basically dug themselves a hole they can't get out of. Pathetic, sore losers can't cake an L when AMD were at the bottom for so long and came out on top.
Intel do appear to have lost the plot at this point, too much caffeine, whalesong and Columbian marching powder in the Coloured Pencil Office methinks. Lots of pictures and pretty colours so management signed off on it.
Joking aside, Intel lost the plot when their newest generation of CPUs use significantly more power than their AMD counterparts. Have they not noticed the massive change in power prices across much of the world? Hell, I only upgraded my CPU because I was getting bottlenecked a touch and the new one uses less power for more performance! Same is going to be the case when I finally replace my GPU.
The Intel laptop I am forced to use at work is so garbage, text doesn't even render correctly in emails, performance is horrific, it doesn't even boot sometimes or gives blank screen. This is the state of gen10 Intel CPU with integrated graphics. Meanwhile my way cheaper personal laptop with AMD is far better and Radeon Vega 8 is still going strong, it can even game besides correctly working with programs.
An Intel staff meeting: OK guys this is what we are going to do, find all the problems with our branding and project it all onto AMD and don't mention our past. Don't worry the consumer is too stupid to figure it out, now go go go!!!!
Someone might wanna check the intel marketing department's watercooler for increased levels of lead.
still crazy to think one man revived amd's cpu division
this is kinda expected from clueless marketing teams that literally dont even understand the products that they promote, as well as the competition. honestly there is nothing new with this.
AMD’s chips blow up. Why would you want that stuff? It happened on multiple motherboards and people blamed asus, but the things blew up even after bios fixes.
No EXPO = crap performance, EXPO = blow up.
I'd love to see Intel's response to all of this
talk all the shit you want about intel but when ive built pcs for the last 20 years and i can just plug shit in and it works, EVERY TIME, there is nothing to be said. every AMD pc i ever built came with problems down the road. their shit sucks. intel just works. but its ok, i know you need the views. couldnt hack it anywhere else in the world could you? sad how bad these kids today need attention.
Programming? On I3? Seriously?
why do we care about games running 400 fps in a 1080 game
Maybe instead of advertising for their competitors they should set the marketing team up with the task of making their own naming schemes make sense. At least I can kind of understand how to read the AMD ones, theirs just seem like they locked a drunk chimpanzee in a room with a keyboard and then let it smash it against the floor to generate them.
intels is a joke at this point
When your competition does all the marketing for you for free
Holy crap Intel really lost it with this one. 😅 It's so dumb it's almost funny.
Intel's got real boomer energy rn. As you're explaining their slides, I just find myself thinking "ok intel".
The part where Steve tried to interview the pigeon had me DEAD
I'm glad to see you having fun on the job. It must be a nice break from all the thorough testing you do.
Sounds like AMDs latest tech is living rent free in Intels head lol.
The entertainment value of your videos has increased exponentially without being less informative. Truly appreciate Steve, the staff, and the entire channel as a whole.
I am so glad I clicked on this vid. Initially, didn't think it'd be that interesting, but HOOO BOY was I wrong…
Intel has definitely lost the plot.. At least when AMD got overtaken by Intel they.. Wait.. That's right. Intel got complacent cause they were on top for 5 decades and now is throwing a tantrum. Take the L, learn from your mistake, get better. That's what AMD did.
Note: AMD has their own issues, and I'm NOT discounting that in the slightest, but if you say your competitor's product more than your own (and when you can specify the model of your competitor and not your own), then you have bigger issues than just being beaten by your competitor.
When you're talking about your competition instead of doing your own thing, you know you're in trouble.
That, my friends, is when executives start relying on AI without any ounce of critical thought.
Jesus the slide with ages on it reminds me of literal tobacco style marketing. "hook em while they are young!"
My favourite was the future proofing slide. Intel is over here selling an already dead socket, while AMD holds theirs for 6+ years… and they're talking about future proofing/upgradablity being a selling point for Intel somehow XD
I DID find the video entertaining Steve, thank you! Wierd asf mind you, but hey…….
damn Intel is the narcissistic partner who accuses you of cheating while they are cheating
Intel : AMDs old architecture beats our new architecture so you should buy ours instead .
AMD : Remind me again , when did we hire Intel to do our marketing ?
Ambien is a hell of a drug
well they might have refreshed and not much inovation on intels side but at least not selling products that just dont work and bad latency problems no respect for amd and stop letting them take your money oh but wait 5800x3d was good god lol just my opinion thks
Wouldn't be surprised if their whole presentation was written by AI at this point.
Yeah, but is this the latest video?
Enter di 🥷
The "Thanks Steve" bit after roasting intel never ceases to put a smile on my face. Please continue to keep slipping that in there where you feel it is necessary
Wouldn't be surprised if their whole presentation was written by AI at this point.
Didnt intel had done the same?
