Video marketing has become an essential tool for businesses looking to reach their target audience and make an impact in the digital landscape. With the rise of social media and the continuous advancements in technology, video marketing trends are constantly changing and evolving. In the latest #ThinkMarketing Podcast 007, we discuss five video marketing trends that every business needs to know in order to stay ahead of the game.
1. Live streaming: Live streaming has become increasingly popular in recent years, with platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube offering live video features. Businesses are taking advantage of this trend to engage with their audience in real time, offering behind-the-scenes looks, product launches, and interactive Q&A sessions. Live streaming allows businesses to connect with their audience in a more authentic and personal way, making it a powerful tool for building brand loyalty and trust.
2. Short-form video content: With the rise of platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels, short-form video content has become a dominant trend in video marketing. Businesses are creating short, attention-grabbing videos that quickly convey their message and capture the viewer’s interest. These bite-sized videos are perfect for capturing the attention of busy consumers and are an effective way to increase engagement and brand awareness.
3. Personalized video content: Personalization has become a key focus in marketing, and video is no exception. Businesses are using personalized video content to create a more tailored and relevant experience for their audience. This can include personalized video messages, product recommendations, or interactive experiences that make the viewer feel seen and understood.
4. Interactive video experiences: Interactive video content is on the rise, allowing viewers to engage with the content in a more immersive way. This can include interactive hotspots, quizzes, and polls that enable viewers to participate in the video experience. Interactive videos are a great way to keep viewers engaged and make the content more memorable.
5. Vertical video format: With the prevalence of mobile devices, the vertical video format has become increasingly popular. This format is optimized for viewing on mobile screens, providing a more seamless and immersive viewing experience for the viewer. Businesses are leveraging the vertical video format to create content that is more visually engaging and tailored to the way people consume content on their mobile devices.
In conclusion, video marketing continues to evolve, and staying on top of the latest trends is crucial for businesses looking to effectively reach their audience. By incorporating these five video marketing trends into their strategy, businesses can create more engaging and effective video content that resonates with their audience. Great work man! I was looking for doable tips and came acorss this article: https://www.outpostworldwide.com/the-art-of-producing-professional-marketing-videos/, do check it out.
It's really amazing. Thanks
Heather and Sean made excellent points about using other platforms that allow small pieces of content. A 15 sec clip on Instagram Boosted my youtube subscriber and retention rates.
Great content! Video marketing is still going strong and thanks for sharing the trends. I used to make my own video but the content was certainly lacking so i turned to video production company Outpost Worldwide , Inc.
Thank you guys so much for this! Taking it pretty much as gospel! FANTASTIC current info!
True. That "Quality over Quantity" is a kind of principle that makes me want a valuable content, even though I uploaded once or twice a week.

Hi guys! Thanks for your video. I'm a co-founder of NAIVE Software, we automate video editing by using AI. I was looking for insights here. What we should focus on in 2020, what kind of automation market will need and so on. Will be happy to chat with you via email or Zoom ๐ Thanks again, I've reviewed your video twice!
I absolutely agree on the short term ๐ฏ and new platforms in general it seems tedious and overwhelming but you have to adapt and eventually it will become 2nd nature.
Solid knowledge bro

Shawn and Heather thank you so much! I love this video. Really great stuff. I'm into my second year on YouTube, and I also use Instagram. I've attempted to post on Facebook but I usually only have time to post my new videos announcements on Facebook. I only have between 5 to 10 hours a week to run the business so I've been struggling to find time to start on LinkedIn but after hearing this I really want to. How would you recommend working towards paid advertising when you still have such a new small channel and you haven't built a huge following yet? I don't really have the money yet to invest into advertising and I also don't have my own products yet that I can sell. When you're still trying to grow your following is it even worth it to have paid advertising when you can't make money off of it? I'm really hopeful about my small YouTube channel, about 120 subscribers, and I'm still building and trying to implement income streams but I am dedicated for the long-haul and want this to grow into a full-time Business. Thank you guys for all of your help, God bless!
this is amazing and productive.. dual platform
What microphones are you using?
Thank you!!!
We do video interviews off Samsung 9 phone, in stand, with plug in microphone. Post on FB and Linked In with 45 sec summary on Twitter. Very time consuming to post multiple places.
Key question: Have 2000 videos on YouTube covering 3 topics, veterans, athletics, business.
You sound like coaches we talk to, Get Better Every Day! Best Ken
What is that amazing intro music? Its so smooooooothhhhh!
Lessons learnt
Hi I'm not an Apple user, but I would like to come
Thank you!! The LinkedIn thing has drove me nuts! I'm like why is everyone coming from LinkedIn? Made no sense to me.
The struggle is putting sooo much into a video and then not having it get traction…it may be that those smaller videos (qty) get more quick attention so that the later videos with more quality get appreciated. Which you eluded to of course but there is another way that Tim Schmoyer put it – quantity to learn, quality to grow. So if you are a smaller channel just starting out you need that quantity to learn and get some traction while every once in awhile taking those skills for more quality pieces to help you grow. Also I think it's so funny how when you said it's not about the tech the video suggestion popped up about the best camera and tech for YouTube…many YT creators talk about the value of skills but then a lot of the content is about tech – because tech is one of the easiest to grab onto so people think if I buy this then everything will be awesome while skills take time and it seems like people don't watch those as much…in the end I think it's much easier as a larger channel to follow the advice of quality over quantity…unless of course you already have 5 Million followers on Twitter let's say and decide to start a YT channel…
The first time I tried to upload a video to IGTV from Instagram on desktop it kept failing. I had to post it from Facebook's Creator Studio for it to post.
Tip #1 is actually very important to understand: I think it's pretty clear by now that people in general don't mind waiting a full month for some channel's new video, as long as its content value is great. Even the day that new video comes out isn't that much of a problem, as long as it doesn't float to much off what is usual.
Would love to start doing TIK TOK and Instagram either one first but its so hard for people who want to do it so bad but doubt themselves and worry about what others think itโs a hard hole to get out of once youโve gone down it
You guys rockโ๐ป
Besides, content of this video. The audio is so great !!
Some channel's videos are way too long. You find yourself clicking on the speed adjustment. There are those of us who have many subscriptions. We just don't have the time.
All these tips are very helpful for new youtubers such as myself ๐๐ thank you very much!
I don't think I've ever seen anyone say " I'm fired up" with so little enthusiasm. ๐๐ Good stuff guys. I just subbed. Thanks for the tips
Congrats on the podcast! Love the content so far. You totally opened up my eyes to Linkedin with this one. Appreciate it as always!
I post on all of them but I am having a difficult time with LinkedIn. I haven't decided what content I want to provide because my niche is a little different than most on LinkedIn.
Ooh where can I pick up a $4000 RED camera? ๐๐
Fresh off the fish scales every Tuesday!
7:20 So true, at this moment I'm still not confident posting stories on instagram…
Thank you both & Think team! ๐๐ผ Great content!
I closed my linkedin account because I was tired of having to search through a long list of feeds when responding to a comment to a comment I posted.
If the platform can't be bothered to have the notification link go to the comment that you are responding to, it's a useless, waste of time platform.
I have plenty of things to waste time with. I don't need to be wasting it searching for a message that I want to respond to.
I'm thinking of ditching Facebook as well because that platform is so bloated, sometimes I can't load a page. Then there's the issue with their stories. When I click on a story link, I am taken to a page that has a black box that reads: "Expand your browser." When I expand my browser to full screen, I see another black box that reads: "Expand your browser". Rather than sizing the content tot he browser window, what facebook is doing is requiring the user to size their monitor resolution to meet Facebook's content demands.
Only an inept, educated idiot does stupid stuff like that. There is absolutely no way I'm going to let some egotistical, delusional techy, tell me I have to increase the resolution of my monitor to the point that I cannot read anything on the screen. It's just not going to happen. I don't need facebook. I can live without facebook. But ultimately, facebook cannot live without users.
Thanks!
So if someone is starting from scratch, should they be investing time in long-form AND short-form videos at the same time, or building influence on YouTube with long-form first?
Fantastic episode! Quality > Quantity for sure. We started noticing this trend in 2019. Content that prioritizes quality over quantity will win in 2020. People expect amazing content these days and churning out low-quality content multiple times a day won't cut it for much longer. Love this. Thanks for sharing!
Are you planning to use short-form video on this channel or other Think Media properties? Especially for podcasts? Just looking at channels dedicated to podcast clips like JRE Clips or Impaulsive Clips those types of media that allow for digestible pieces of content seem to be working incredibly well. Do you think that will continue or that there is a ceiling for that type of video?
Love this episode. Totally agree with where things are headed! Thanks for what you do!
@1:24 – โits the content value, not the production valueโ
^^diggin' that! I'm writing up plans and scripts to really add much more value to future videos.
I like this. I've been trying to invest 3-4x the amount of time in editing my videos. Cooking goes quickly, sometimes an hour to shoot and spending 6-8 hours editing is where the magic happens. And Thumbnails.
Sometimes, subway is fine. But, for the majority of people, who WOULDN'T want a sandwich made by a Michelin chef?
Iโm posting once a week instead of aiming for two, because Iโm focusing on making as many quality videos as much as possible. ๐
audio quality is incredible, thank you for all the tips, hope everyone's channel grows!
Fascinating comments on LinkedIn. I am posting my YouTube videos there. I havenโt seen a lot of results from it in terms of views or subscribers. However, I do think that it does help to build a reputation in your field. It doesnโt necessarily reach many people. But I think it reaches the right people.
My videos are for my granddaughter who happens to have some special needs. She of course is so much more than her special needs. I have to keep them shorter for her. Being newer to YouTube I am learning to make better videos. I'm hoping to grow my channel for her, so that one day she will appear saying, hi, I'm Autumn! Then she can continue running my channel and hopefully it will provide income for her some day.๐ Will YouTube let her take it over??
Ty
Yes I recently started paying attention to my LinkedIn again. Giving video a thought, just trying to figure out my angle.
