What would you shoot with the Canon R5 C?
The R5C need a lot of rigging… (battery especially..) And a build in ND filter… but the best feature must be that it actually is dual native iso (800 and 3200 in c-log 3) that is awesome.
Please tell me this is a Joke. This is horrible. The BTS looks worlds better. I thought I was watching a video from 2009.
I appreciate B&H making a series dedicated to Canon R5C but I don't understand why do that and not produce good quality work which the camera is definitely capable of. End results are really not that satisfying for a hybrid cinema camera that can do 8K raw internally. Why go halfway on this?
That little light was never going to expose that window. Also the camera doesnt do the performing it's the operator that does that. Its kinda disingenuous and mis-leading to say that.
The color grading/lut on the office space scene did not match the context of the interview at all. Seems like a random lut was thrown onto the footage. The “additional camera” from the zoomed in 8k close up was also a bit odd in how it was extremely cropped in. Honestly a very underwhelming view point of what kind of quality and versatility these cameras offer.
Very informative video. He didn't have to do 8k raw for the interview, 8k .mp4 should have been fine too.. just saying
The final video was very underwhelming. The videographer did not show the R5C's fullest potential in low light, leading to the footage being grainy. Colour grade is absolutely amateur-like with poor use of lighting. This video doesn't highlight how the R5C stands out from other cameras, it looks like it was entirely filmed on a cheap consumer camera.
the noise in the slomo shots is a bit distracting but the Interview setup looks great!
Love my R5C 🔥
informative concise video on use of the R5C (would be good for documentaries).
