Design is an art form that can either make or break a brand. A well-designed logo can help a company stand out and attract customers, while a poorly designed one can leave a negative impression and turn people away. Unfortunately, there are still plenty of examples of bad designs out there that leave us scratching our heads and wondering, “What were they thinking?”
One of the recurring themes in bad design is poor choice of fonts. Fonts are an essential part of branding and can convey a lot about a company’s personality. However, using the wrong font can completely undermine the message a company is trying to send. Take for example the infamous “Comic Sans” font, which is often ridiculed for its childish and unprofessional appearance. Using this font for a logo can make a company appear amateurish and untrustworthy.
Another common mistake in design is using too many elements or colors. A cluttered design can overwhelm the viewer and make it difficult to focus on the main message. This is often seen in logos that try to incorporate multiple images, colors, and text, resulting in a busy and confusing design.
One recent example of a bad design is the logo for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. The logo features a stylized “T” in the shape of a persons’ head with the eyes and mouth forming the numbers “2” and “0”. While the concept may have been creative, many people found the design to be confusing and difficult to read. Some even compared it to a “melted” version of the original logo.
In the world of marketing, bad designs can also be found in advertising signs. These signs are meant to attract customers and encourage them to make a purchase, but a poorly designed sign can do the opposite. For example, a sign that is misspelled or has incorrect information can make a business appear unprofessional and unreliable.
Overall, it’s important for companies to invest in good design to create a positive and memorable impression on their customers. By avoiding common design pitfalls such as poor font choices, cluttered layouts, and confusing imagery, a company can ensure that their brand is perceived in a positive light. Remember, good design is not just about aesthetics, it’s about communicating effectively and building trust with your audience.
I always try to never dumb here. Only in dumb areas I say.
there once was a store that sold Pens called:
Pen
Island.
They got a website in the early days of the interwebs.
it was hilarious.
😅😅😅
No, in Japan there really is toilet tourism…
They have some weird stuff going on there…
Well, you DO vacate your bowels on ANY toilet. 🙂
Love to see the last one in action.
Somehow, the way you said, "I would buy crack from him" was adorable and not at all a red flag (as it normally would be). Lol
Do Not Dumb Here, my new mantra. The best🎉 sign ever is the shoplifting/ prostitution sign. A previous poster commented “don’t threaten me w a good time”🎪, oh, I can’t🤣🤣🤣🤣 I’m off for a new diaper.
Tickler the Diddler sounds like a very bad supervillain.
Japanese and Chinese are very weird to translate. Like most languages, you should NEVER directly translate them. Only do it through context, Mandarin and Cantonese especially.
I blame the Haines Alaska skool sistum … ☝️😕🇺🇸♥️✝️
Too be honest I’m surprised that pool company hasn’t had some valuable offers to buy their domain. It’s not my thing but I can guarantee that somewhere out there people are paying for that poolife.
Public Toilet Tourism is stating it's seated toilet not squat toilet.
How many times Pops get raided?!?
😂😂😂
Edit: husband asked if Tickle D had Biden come thru. 😂😂
They could at least used two "l's".
Diddle is new vernacular.
Gay was an innocent term a few decades ago. Reference santorum. Words get dirtied.
oh no imma be prostituted
nobody talking about the “i would by crack from him😃”
Ah the Engrish. So many good memories.
You say "bad vacation", I counter with Bowl Plaza in Lucas, Kansas.
The one with the red background and white letters is in Japanese, and Google Translate says "Please don't throw trash here". The next one Google Translate says it is "Public Tourist Toilet". Bad translations indeed.
if you read that first one wrong (there's no correct way here really.) it says: Tickle Babies and Diddle Kids.
What wrong with ickle diddle
😂😂😂😂😂😅
I hope we don't hear about any shoplifting after this one 😂
My son lived in China for a couple of years. He used to love the signs for English speakers. They really don’t care much about the accuracy of translations. He sent me a birthday card that said “ Merry Birthday. Tank you Cheri Much!”
LMFAO at fucking all of these 😂 I need the do not dumb here sign for my door though fr
The worst design I saw, there were two words in a stack, the top word was "cut", the word underneath was "through"…
Now the typography made the "u" in "cut" look like an L and the first "h" in "through" the line was extended and snuggled between the "u" and "t" in "cut" and made it look like an "I"….
So instead of a "u" between the "c" and "t" it looked more like "li" between "c" and "t"
I had to do a double take
Graham Norton calls them lazy translations.
Nice watching you expand and gain popularity.
Toilet signs in China are a gold mind all around. I once saw a sign saying "Toilet" in Chinese and below it … "Eliot".
Last ones 😂😂😂
“Hike up that skirt honey, you’re gonna EARN that Stanley Cup!”
I mean that’s one way to pay for something 😅
#IASIP😂
Hey someone might wanna check on that first place!! Best way to hide is in plain sight if you know what im saying
You're so hot.
Awww, I would buy crack from him too.
I didn't choose the poolife the poolife chose me.
I didn't choose the Poolife, the Poolife chose me.
Poolife looks like they at least tried to fix the problem with different colors, neither of them brown.
The last should be a big no no for shoplifters
Shoplifters, be warned. 😏
Yes the lost something in translation
You never fail to make me laugh 😂. That ending omg so funny 🤣
Damn… them pimps got creative
Prostitute sign got me at the end😂 😂😂😂😂😂
Poolife is probably the company that is running the toilet tourism…..
