By age 13, 80% of girls distort the way they look online.* Let’s change that.
Social media is a big part of young people’s lives — but retouching apps and the pressure to post the ‘perfect selfie’ are hurting their self-esteem and confidence. Have the selfie talk with a girl you love to reverse the damage and celebrate real beauty. The Dove Self-Esteem Project can show you how.

I wish everyone could embrace their natural beauty and just be natural and not go to extremes
Don't' blame "Social Media." "Social Media" = people, just like always. If you want to blame anyone, blame whoever did not teach the girl to not care about what other people think.
Wish I never had a phone to much social media is negative
The girl is in my school beat mates
Shes my best friend
Thank you Dove for doing this, creating this masterpiece. I’m in awe and I will share it world wide.
Well done Dove! Proving the modern beauty standards girls + women want + want to project is all about make-up, hair styling, hair + lash extensions for some people and clever work with lighting, filters and simply taking a selfie in the right room with the right lighting and space. Real women + girls won’t automatically wake up looking like a selfie taken on IG – I occasionally post a “lift selfie,” and it involves hair styling, make-up and selecting an outfit I have a good body image in – say it’s an optical illusion
Just another coonmercial, groidalfied garbage.
Bufff
Name of Music please?
As a musician, I can say this is the exact process that all my photos go through.
No Selfie Needed. There's a whole world out there to look at, listen to, and share. Scenery, art, architecture, animals, objects (even a colorful pile of dishes soaking in the sink can look beautiful photographed in the right way).
She may have a few spots but she's cuter without all those artificial adjustments that made her look barely human.
What's the point of filters anyway if it isn't really you who's getting the praise?
whats name this song?😫
Love dove
We have to learn to love ourselves the way we are
Next time, look in the mirror, and instead of wishing how you could change something that you deem as imperfect, look at something you love and that you admire, and tell yourself, “I’m perfect the way I am.”
Lo natural es vello con la cara lavada y recién peinada cómo decía Manolo Escobar yo llevo 50años usándolo es el mejor antiarrugas el jabón 😆😂🤣😎😍😅😃😃😄

Is it dark Triad of me to enjoy beauty culture, competition, and striving for perfection? It's fun to me…
I'm 30 and still feel like that many times.
Back in 1998, The Body Shop ran this ad with a fat Barbie doll and the headline "There are a billion women who don't look like supermodels, and only eight that do, so learn to love your body."
