You’re Amazing!!!
“You give me one camera with a good lens, and you give me one girl, then I could make $3,000 a day.” I love Sue Bryce. And I loved this video. But I’ve heard her say the above quote so many times. And I think that, amongst other things, is where the confusion is about who she photographs. Because if I had never heard of her before and heard her say that, I’d think, “ok. She photographs women only.”
I obviously understand the point of the video…the power of marketing to women. But the quote above, in my opinion, contradicts the idea that she will photograph anybody.
She may mean that a woman will always book and be part of the shoot. But it seems to disqualify men…who might want their own portrait taken and are paying themselves…from becoming a client. In fact, on her Instagram page I see almost no portraits of just men by themselves.
Love Sue. Enormous fan of her work. I’m just saying that I fully understand why people would be confused. It’s not a great mystery. With a statement like the one at the beginning of the video or an Instagram page full of portraits of women, it’s not a very clear message at all that either gender is welcome.

Sue is the bomb! I love my mentor. She changes lives.
Always amazing!! Thank you!
